In the hall you will find an internet room and there is Wifi in your room, both are for free.
We aksed for a double room at the rear by e-mail, and within one day we a got an answer that this was o. k. (room 714; the quiest room we ever had). The room is medium sized, double glazed and has individual air conditioning. The double bed has a very firm box spring mattress. There is a workiing table, a rather small TV with channels in many different languages, and a safe (no fridge or mini bar). There is an open linen cupboard for your clothes. The bathroom is a kind of cabin in the room. It contains a wash stand, a bath tub with shower and a hairdryer. Alas the temperatur of the water changed sometimes from warm to hot or cold. There is only liquid soap.
Breakfast is abundant with several kinds of bread, cheese and meat products, 3 kinds of yoghurt warm pan cakes and waffres, but no scrambled eggs, ham and sausages. There are several kinds of juices, cereals, jams and a variety of fesh fruit. Coffee is excellent. We once had dinner in the restaurant which was of mediocre quality. The waiter is very friendly.

The hotel itself is rather agreeable, not the least because of the very kind staff. There are 180 rooms spread over 9 floors. Entering the hall you will find the restaurant and bar at your right and the elevators at your left. Only those who have an electronic key can use the elevator on the ground floor. Check in/check out went very smoothly.

The hotel is situated at a four-lane, rather busy road, about 300 mtrs. from the A10 motorway. Bus 48, opposite the hotel, brings you within 10 min. to Amsterdam Central Train Station, which is also the start of the city centre. Hotel’s neighbourhood is very dull with all kinds of commercial buidlings/factories. The hotel has a parking at 15 euro a night. The public parking in front of the hotel is free during the weekend. |

Although the hotel is outside the city centre it is very recommendable. The bus to the train station leaves every 15 min. We made a pre-paid booking at the hotel at 72, 50 euro a night, breakfast included.
